The Little Moments

These children bring so many moments of pure joy, laughter, and even perspective changing thoughts.

Some days are incredibly easy, and some days are incredibly hard.

My wife and I like to tell each other the funny things they say, or the words they come up with for things when they don’t know the real word. Even the moments where we watch them playing and see something that brings us a smile.

The one thing about these precious moments is they are fleeting.

A day from now, or a week from now we aren’t likely to remember these moments that seemed so noteworthy.

I realised how much I loved these moments and started to record them at the end of the day. I put down the date and the memory, then forget about the notebook until the next time, but each time, when I review those memories that would have been 100% forgotten…

I’m really happy I recorded them.

Not to mention there will be some juicy stuff in there for a wedding speech some day...
